Bilateral relations

The Church of Sweden has many bilateral relations with other churches. Through the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) it is in fellowship with all the other Lutheran member churches.

Church cooperation

Church of Sweden is part of the worldwide community of churches, which is the very foundation of  Church of Sweden’s international involvement.

Ecumenical Relations

The Church of Sweden has been active in the ecumenical movement from the start. Today, the Church of Sweden is involved in ecumenism and interfaith work in various ecumenical contexts, both in Sweden and internationally.

Through the World Council of Churches (WCC), the Church of Sweden has contacts with many churches from a variety of traditions around the world, working together on various issues and projects.
