For our partners

Act Church of Sweden

Welcome! This is the part of our web that aims to give you as a partner a deeper understanding of what Act Church of Sweden does and what we want to achieve.

Act Church of Sweden is the branch for international mission and diaconia of Church of Sweden and thus constitutes its international aid and development work. Act Church of Sweden is a faith-based development and aid actor and an integral part of the Church of Sweden.

Our Christian faith permeates our work in all that we do.
Faith is an ongoing conversation - a present interaction.  Faith is the foundation on which we stand together. Our work, like our faith, is an ongoing interaction between us and you as a partner.

Together we can take Action for the purpose of a dignified life for everyone.

Act Church of Sweden is obliged to be fully accountable for its own staff and the manner in which work is performed.

Quality and accountability

Act Church of Sweden strives for high quality in both the daily work and in our results. People’s ability to demand accountability is a necessary part of human rights-based work and a democratic society.

Our principal donors

Our efforts are largely financed by money raised in Sweden. Allocation from Church membership fees,  parish collections and fundraising activities, gifts and bequests from individuals fund much of the work carried out for a fairer, more just world.

Grants from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and the EU are important sources of funding.

Any contributions to our work is gratefully accepted.
