Sankt Olov erövrade kungakronan och försökte med våld kristna sitt rike, men drevs i landsflykt. Luttrad återvände han så småningom och stupade vid Stiklastad 1030.
Saint Olov
Saint Olaf was, during the Middle Ages, a greatly admired figure in the Nordic countries. In his youth he was one of the Viking Age’s fiercest warriors and was only superficially converted to the Christian faith. He seized the royal crown and attempted to Christianize his realm by force, but was driven into exile. Hardened by his experiences, he eventually returned and fell in battle at Stiklestad in 1030.
