Shrove Tuesday Café

Welcome to our annual Shrove Tuesday café (February 17, 3-7pm) serving coffee and Swedish semlor, as well as pancakes (from 5-7 pm)!

The day before Ash Wednesday has traditionally been a day of celebration, food, and indulgence before lent.

In Sweden the traditional Shrove Tuesday treat is the semla, a cardamom-flavoured bun filled with whipped cream and sweet almond paste.

This year, we will offer both semla and pancakes at our Shrove Tuesday café.

Starting at 3 pm the Swedish church will serve coffee and semla.

At 5 pm St. Augustine (Anglican church) starts serving pancakes.

Why not try both?

Welcome!
