The son of Jerry Kapelus, a survivor of Auschwitz and the Buchenwald death march, Gary Kapelus tells his father's personal story, which is a story of human resilience, faith in humanity, and the sacred duty of memory. Gary lives in Leaside and his father settled locally after the war. Gary will present his father's story in a workshop with slides and historical artifacts.
The presentation is arranged together with St. Augustine of Canterbury and will be held in English at 2pm on Sunday the 20th of September.
