Convention on the Rights of the Child.
The first 42 articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child state what rights every child should have and they shall be read as a whole. Four of the articles are to guide how the whole shall be interpreted and are called the four head principles.
Article 2: All children have the same rights and an equal value.
Article 3: The rights of the child shall be prioritized in all decisions taken concerning the child.
Article 6: Every child has the right to survive and develop.
Article 12: Every child has the right to express his or her opinions and to have them considered in all issues concerning him or her.
For each chapter we suggest one or two of the additional articles as a base for conversation. In SUGGESTION 1 in each chapter there are examples of topics connecting to the story in the chapter.
