Popular music from 1760s London in the form of chamber music by K. F. Abel and J. C. Bach.
Sonatas by these somewhat forgotten masters have come to light during the 2010s.

In 1760s London, the first subscription concerts in music history were organized: the famous Bach-Abel concerts. They were aimed at the affluent bourgeoisie. The leading figures in the city’s musical life were Johann Christian Bach (son of Johann Sebastian Bach) and Karl Friedrich Abel.
