In the Old Town, in between the Royal Palace and the Nobel Museum, in the very heart of medieval Stockholm, you will find our Cathedral, locally known as Storkyrkan - "The Big Church".
It is the mother church of the Church of Sweden Diocese of Stockholm. Lutheran in tradition, it offers a warm welcome to people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
Come and see the wonderful architecture, learn about the precious medieval artefacts, attend our Lutheran service or enjoy a concert.
Curious about artefacts? See our Chaplain Kristina Ljunggren when she tells the story behind - here is the link.
A long advanced musical tradition in the Cathedral congregation has attracted some of the best organists and choir conductors in Sweden. Concerts are held every week in either the Cathedral or St Jacob's Church nearby. Here you find the music program for the spring.
During spring 2018, we have an exhibition about Queen Christina's crowning outfit in the Cathedral. We offer a special guided exhibition tour called Parisian golden thread, please. You find all the details here!
Or just come and be with God, light a candle and find some peace in the midst of a busy day. You will be most welcome.
