In the Treasury you will find bishops’ copes from the 13th century and later, the mid-15th century Marian chasuble, Archbishop Nathan Söderblom’s cope worn at the ecumenical synod of 1925.
Queen Margareta’s golden dress is the world’s only preserved evening gown from the middle ages. The so-called Sture Clothes are the only complete collection of men’s wear that survives from the Renaissance.
The Cathedral’s oldest silver and objects from the royal tombs are also on display.
Opening Hours
The museum is open Monday-Saturday 10.00–16.00. Sundays and holidays 12.30-16.00 (May–Sep open until 17.00). The museum is closed on Good Friday, 30 April, Midsummer Eve and may be closed on 24 December.
Admission
Admission is 60 SEK. Free admission for children and young people under the age of 17. Groups 45 SEK/person (booking is necessary for visiting groups whether guided or not since the number of visitors is limited).
