There are about 16,000 Jews in Sweden, about half of whom belong to a synagogue.

The number of Muslims in Sweden has grown rapidly since 1945, totalling now about 73,000. Most are immigrants from Turkey, the Middle East, or North Africa.

Buddhists and Hindus in Sweden number around 3000 each.

The Commission for State Grants to Religious Communities (Samarbetsnämnden för statsbidrag till trossamfund, SST) is a government body. It cooperates with the Swedish Free Church Council. SST members are selected by religious bodies with more than 3000 members, which are entitled to some forms of state financial assistance.
