Future Walks, Summer 2014

26 July: Björkö
A new pilgrimage path is open since June 2013 on Björkö, one of the islands in the northern archipelago. The path is around 2.5 kms, however, the total walking distance can be around 8 kms or more. Do bring your prayer bracelets.
9:53 am Bus 24 Nils Ericson Terminalen to Lilla Varholmen via Hjuvik,
10:31 arrival.
Take the next Ferry to Björkö, probably around 10:40.

The actual path starts at Sörgårds kile Bohus-Björkö (Del av vatten), which is 2.5 kms from the ferry stop. The route we would follow is on page 10 of this map.
Apart from the path, one could also do
Timmerviksslingan -> Huvudslingan -> Björkö huvud (lunch) -> Näckrosdammen -> Trollviksbadet/Kolviksbadet (swim).
Do bring lunch in case there are no restaurants on our path (most likely not), and swimming gear if you plan to get into the water.

16:40 Ferry from Björkö
17:06 take the return bus 24.
The frequency of these buses and Ferry are 30 mins.

Pax et bonum!

23 August (NB change of date!): Falköping to Gudhem

The next Bishop of Gibraltar in Europe will be Canon Robert Innes, currently Senior Chaplain of Holy Trinity Brussels and the Archbishop of Canterbury's Representative to the European Institutions.  Robert is pictured alighting from Eurostar, something he will be doing even more often in his new role.
