May in St Andrew's begins and ends with celebrations of communuity.

Come to our International Service at 11.00 on May 5, and enjoy songs and prayers, national dress, and food from our many different countries of origin.

Our Church Bazaar is on Saturday May 25, come rain or shine.  We are well equipped with tents to keep out the worst of the weather.

In between the two, we celebrate Ascension Day and Pentecost.

Friends' Lecture: Serving the Community

Skapad: 2013-05-07 11:07:00

Our first Friends' Lecture will be on Wednesday 15 May at 18.30, when we welcome Marika Palmdahl to talk about "Serving the Community: Stadsmissionen and St Andrew's in Partnership."  The talk will be in English, and all are welcome - members, friends, friends of friends ...  No charge for admission.  Collection for Stadsmissionen.

Marika was the Diocese of Gothenburg co-ordinator for inter-religious dialogue, and worked closely with Andrew Wingate, before moving to her present job as priest and theologian at Stadsmissionen.

Her subject fits in well with our new vision statement, which encourages us to look outward as well as inward and upward.

St Andrew's Church depends on our members and friends to help meet the costs of employing our priest and caring for our lovely building.  We do not receive money either from the Church of England or through the Swedish taxation system.
