15 januari - Helen Calner - Mitt liv i Afrika
Vår diakon Helen Calner berättar om sina spännande år i Afrikas olika hörn. Helen har dels levt som missionär och jobbat på missionsstation i Västafrika, varit församlingsdiakon i östra Afrika och arbetat som resejournalist i södra Afrika. Helen kommer att visa bilder och berätta om allt från att bli jagad av en noshörning till hur man gör upp eld under bar himmel när det är regnperiod.
12 februari – Highlights at the National Gallery
On the 12th of February we get to listen to the popular Art History expert Valerie Woodgate. This time she will tell us about the “Hightlights at the National Gallery”. Valeries’ fascinating talk is illustrated with photos of many of the famous pictures at one of the world’s most famous art museums. The talk is also a good inspiration and a guidance to what to see at the National Gallery. The talk will be in English.
12 mars – Medecins sans Frontiers/Läkare utan gränser/Doctors without borders
We welcome James Kliffen from Doctors without borders. James will tell us about the world famous organisation and their work in the undeveloped part of the world. Doctors without borders is an international medical and humanitarian helporganisation, started in France. It helps people during crises, wars and nature catastrophies. Doctors without borders offers assistance to people based on need and irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation.The talk will be in English.
16 april – Dr Eva Schloss, a good friend of Anne Frank
Dr Eva Schloss, a jewish woman who in her teenage years was a good friend of Anne Frank, will visit us. Eva later, post mortem, became step sister to Anne. Eva is a Holocaust survivor memoirst. She came to Auschwitz at the age of 15 years and together with her mother she managed to survive. Eva will tell us about this and we may, hopefully, get to buy her latest book - After Auschwitz.

14 maj Tom Rob Smith, Author
Tom Rob Smith was born in 1979 to a Swedish mother and an English father. His bestselling novels in the Child 44 trilogy were international publishing sensations. Named one of the top 100 thrillers of all time by NPR (National Public Radio), Child 44 won the International Thriller Writers Award for Best First Novel, the CWA (Crime Writer’s Association) Ian Fleming Steel Dagger Award, and was longlisted for the Man Booker Prize.
Child 44 is now a major motion picture starring Tom Hardy, Noomi Rapace and Gary Oldman.
